Brno has over 900 years history. The father of genetics, Johann Gregor Mendel, worked and lived there. Today the city is the administrative centre of Moravia and home to businesses such as textiles, heavy industry and trade (it holds an international industrial fair). Brno has 6 colleges and many museums and theatres. Beautiful architecture and a unique spirit make this an unforgettable city.
